I want…I want…I want!~

I guess that some would call be selfish because I have a lot of wants. But years ago I was taught that it is not all about me.

Therefore I would like to list my wants.

I want those who are sick to be healed.
I want children with no families to be adopted.
I want those who have no food or water to be fed.
I want those who have no shelter from the elements of the weather to have a home.
I want those who are in slavery to drugs and alcohol to be delivered and freed.
I want those who are enslaved in sexual slavery to be freed and healed.
But most of all…
I want to see those who are lost to be saved and experience the love of God.

What do you want?

The Father is moving, (as He always has) and there is a fresh outpouring of His Holy Spirit upon the earth. If has always been in the heart and will of the Father to do this. In humanism, man tries to elevate himself equal to or above God. There is more humanism within the church than we would like to acknowledge. As an example take the events of Matthew chapter 24 on the “End times.” Somehow 1/2 of the church believes that we control these events and that we can usher them in sooner then God intended. The other 1/2 of the church thinks that if they fast, pray, and sing enough these terrible end times events will be by-passed and God will just come down and usher in the New Kingdom.
However, it needs to be stated that the last move of God, like the first move of God doesn’t need a man to lead it or control it. Contrary to popular belief, (sorry musicians), God doesn’t need a band to sing or dance His next move and to start the end times. For those who have the mega ministries I hate to be the one to tell you but God doesn’t need a building to corral in His next move nor does He need a TV station to broadcast it. For those who pray and intercede for the end times I hate to be bearer of this news but God doesn’t need intercessors to pray in His next move and what He will do. Why would we think that if we don’t pray, God will not come back and establish His kingdom? (I know that this is not the only thing people pray about). For the screamers, God doesn’t need a microphone to get His message across. For those who are writing books on end times it would be well to remember that the Father doesn’t need a PR program to promote or defend His last move on this earth, and He does not need authors to tell Him what He will do and when He will do it. For you prosperity preachers, you need to know that God does not need to take up an offering or sow a seed to make His move a reality. For the name it claim it folks you need to know that God’s move cannot be manipulated or owned.
Although prayer, intercession, praise, music, preaching, buildings, tithes, offerings, and media have their place for ministry, they cannot be used to begin, continue, or end the move of God and the schedule of end times. The great last move of God has already begun. It is moving in the heart, the spirit, and the secret places of men and women around the world. There is a generation who have been faithful in small things, they are broken and poured out, and have hid themselves in the cave of Adullam, anchored in faith upon the rock. An army, who were discouraged, in debt, defeated, and depressed and would be classified as misfits and malcontents have hidden in a cave until they became a mighty army of our Lord’s glorified sons. These are not the heroes or superstars. These are no names and no faces. A few mighty men scattered around thinking they were alone, crying out, “Lord, are there others?” God has been moving knitting these men together in relationship and His love.
No, we do not need the things listed above for God to do His thing which was always in His heart to do. We just need to position ourselves in partnership with Him so that we can be a part of this move. Because all of us will either be a part of the problem with this world or we will be in partnership with the move of God as He brings the solution, (New Heaven/New Earth).

The King of Israel had surrounded himself with the “Prophets of man” who proclaimed as though they heard from God. 400 Prophets. The King of Judah, Jehoshaphat, wanted to know if there was a “Prophet of God” left so that they could get a clear Word from the Lord.

The Old Testament shadow is New Testament substance. So here we are thousands of years later and is it possible that Pastors and Churches might be filling their leadership with “Prophets of men”, speaking what the Pastor or church wants to hear? Is it possible that we have Apostles and Pastors bold enough to ask, “Are there any “Prophets of God” left among us who will give us a true Word from the Lord?

1 Kings 22:1-7 ISV Three years passed without war between Aram and Israel. (2) During that third year, King Jehoshaphat of Judah went to visit the king of Israel. (3) The king of Israel asked his servants, “Were you aware that Ramoth-gilead belongs to us, but we aren’t doing anything to remove it from the control of the king of Aram?” (4) Then he asked Jehoshaphat, “Will you join me in battle against Ramoth-gilead?” “I’m with you,” Jehoshaphat answered the king of Israel. “My army will join yours, and my cavalry will be your cavalry.” (5) But Jehoshaphat also asked the king of Israel, “Please ask for a message from the LORD, first.” (6) So the king of Israel called in about 400 prophets and asked them, “Should we go attack Ramoth-gilead, or should I call off the attack?” “Go attack them,” they all said, “because the Lord will drop them right into the king’s hand!” (7) But Jehoshaphat asked, “Isn’t there a prophet of the LORD left here that we could talk to?”

Have you ever thought about the price of something, other than it being to expensive? Suppose I ask you what a 16 oz bottle of pure virgin olive oil would cost. What would you say? Some may say $4.00, some may say $6.00, and some might suggest that it depends on the brand. But to get the true cost of olive oil you don’t ask the consumer, nor do you ask the manufacture or the one who delivers it to the public. To get the true cost you have to go directly to the source and ask the olive. It was the olive that gave of himself so that we could enjoy OLIVE LIFE.

The same is true with salvation. We can’t really get the cost and value of salvation from the consumer, nor can we really get the true cost from those who package it and deliver it to the public. To get the true cost of salvation we need to go to the source and ask our Lord Jesus Christ. After all, He was the one who gave of himself so that we could enjoy ETERNAL LIFE and GOD LIFE. From the mind and pen of Pastor Charles Morris.

THERE IS A MESSAGE THAT NEVER CHANGESThe Gospel message from God the Father concerning His love for us and how He gave His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for mankind to be saved from their sins is a timeless message. It is not a matter of morality, because everyone will have someone more moral or less moral than themselves. It is a matter of our nature. We have a SIN nature, which we can do nothing about. Our sin nature requires a cleansing which we can’t do. We can never walk away from self-righteousness or religion with a clean conscience. God the Son, took on the flesh of humanity in order to suffer in every way as we possibility can and then go to a cruel cross on our behalf. Did He have to do it? Did Jesus have to go to the cross and die for mankind? YES! It was His plan even before God spoke the world into existence. The cross and the death of Christ was not an afterthought. It was the plan of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit before man even was formed and walked on this earth. No matter how much mankind tries to escape the reality of the sin nature, the fact that only the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ can cleanse and free that sin issue, will remain the same.

The call of God to walk in the role of Pastor/Elder or any office position within the body of Christ must be a call from God. This position of service is not meant to be a call from our parents, our friends, our Pastor, our Bible College, or from ourselves. The call originates from the Throne Room in Heaven. The call is a specific calling, anointing, and empowering by God upon a man for a specific office of authority and leadership within the body of Christ. The calling is to a specific task in a specific region or area designated by God. God does not call the trained and qualified. He trains and qualifies the called. He seeks out “no-names” and “no-faces” which have a heart after Him and He issues the call to “come and follow.”
We are born into the kingdom of God by the new birth in Christ Jesus, but when we are called we are made into what He calls us to. The call of our Lord is “come and I will make you to become.” He calls sinners to the place of repentance and righteousness. He calls the simple and weak to confound the wise.
John 1:42 KJV And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.
Matthew 16:16-18 KJV And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. (17) And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. (18) And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

There is a “MORE” when seeking God. Many believers today all over the world are crying out for MORE! Many are standing at the threshold of faith desiring to walk into His incredible presence. There are two great truths about the cry for MORE. (Truth #1) God is not the one who is holding His presence back. He wants us in the deepest possible fellowship with Him. He promises that if we truly hunger and thirst we will be filled. If I cry out in hunger and thirst and yet I am still dissatisfied, I don’t need to look at God as the issue as though He is withdrawing Himself, but I need to check and see if the cry of my lips matches the reality of my heart. Matthew 5:6 KJV  Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. (Truth #2) When we start to experience the MORE of God, we must remember that the thing that got us there is the thing that will keep us there. Sometimes when we enter into that special fullness of God that we walk away from the table full and talk about what we experienced and “what was” instead of maintaining the consistent state of thirst and hunger.

Calling All Believers: A Time for fasting and praying

Image     It is time for fasting and repentance! The church sits at a crossroad. One way leads to deeper compromise, sin tolerance, backsliding, and a heart of stone. The other way, the righteous way, leads to the five R’s: Repentance, Renewal, Revival, Restoration, and Restitution. We can not longer be entertained while believing all is well. All is not well in our Country, in our church or in most of our homes. It is time to cry out.
Joel 1:14-15 KJV Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the LORD your God, and cry unto the LORD,  (15)  Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.
Joel 2:15-19 KJV Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:  (16)  Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.  (17)  Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?  (18)  Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people.  (19)  Yea, the LORD will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen:
